Lighting in PORTRAITURE
For this task I was asked to capture portrait images in different lighting to show the effects it makes in the image. To start with I used the studio and a harsh tungsten light. This light created contrast with my other images as it had a black background which added shadow to the images. The shadows in the harsh tungsten light almost engulf the subjects face, this is interesting as it counteracts my other images. I then moved on to working with a slightly less harsh white light to create shadow against a white background, I believe this added depth to this image as it showed shadow in a new light. I then moved on to shooting outside of the studio. I firstly went to the corridors to use natural lighting through windows.

cATHERINE CHRISTOFIS RESPONSE
"The plants I photograph are often seen as a nuisance and ugly. I want to change that ............................................................conception and show the beauty in these weeds."
For this task I was asked to shoot a series of images in relation to Catherine Christofis' series called A406 in which she documents the A406 to capture images of plants and weeds. For my response I went around school to photograph plants which would be seen as weeds and attempt to capture them in a way which makes them beautiful and interesting. After I captured my images I took my favourites and edited them in Photoshop to enhance the images and make them more visually beautiful.
